Churko in the Studio with Emerson Drive


Kevin Churko is at his "Hideout" studios in Las Vegas, producing three songs for the upcoming Emerson Drive album. The group decided to take a break from Nashville and shake things up a bit for their next release, so they decided to hook up with old pal and fellow Canadian, Mr. Churko. No album release plans, as of yet.

Five Finger Death Punch Has a Songbook


Five Finger Death Punch recently released its first songbook. One of the songs is a Kevin Churko co-write, "Bulletproof." The songbook includes material from their current album, War Is The Answerand Way Of The Fist.

Austria Plays to Sell-Out Crowd for Record Release Performance

Austria's record release performance at the C.E.C. in Rosario was a huge success. The capacity crowd (over 500), loved the show, and some of their fans posted their comments on the show, on the band's Facebook page. In addition, the guys taped the concert and most likely some of the footage will be included in a future video.

Kevin Churko Wraps Production on Hinder Album

Kevin Churko has completed production on the new Hinder album. Kevin also wrote a couple of songs with the guys, including the title track, "All American Nightmare."

Austria's Release Date of NADA Gets Pushed Up; Out Now


The Argentina release of Austria's Nada got pushed up a couple of weeks and is out now, primarily in the group's hometown of Rosario. Additional retail outlets - both online and physical - are planned. The band's anticipated performance October 16th indicates that there will be a healthy attendance, due to ticket pre-sales.

Nada will be released internationally in 2011.

Habana Eva Wins Top Prize at Film Festival


Habana Eva, co-scored by Cisco DeLuna, won the top prize at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival. The film was directed by Fina Torres, who has made several films including Woman On Top, starring Penelope Cruz. The film has been getting some great coverage, including the New York Latino International Film Festival and Repeating Islands. For information about the film, check out the official website.

Suonix Slating Green Car Motel for 3rd Quarter Release

After several delays, the good people at Suonix Records are looking to release the first Green Car Motel album late summer. Word is that it will be August. "Destino De Abril" (Cisco DeLuna co-write) is said to be the first single. Stay tuned...

Kevin Churko Producing New Hinder Album


Hinder is currently in the studio with Kevin Churko. Kevin is producing the album, but it remains to be seen if he will be contributing songwriting efforts to the project.

Slash Enters Billboard Album Chart at #3

Slash's first solo album, Slash, debuted on the Billboard 200 at number three. Kevin Churko co-wrote one of the tracks, "Crucify the Dead" with Slash and Ozzy Osbourne.

Ozzy's "Let Me Hear You Scream" On the Way to Rock Top 10


Ozzy Osbourne's first single, "Let Me Hear You Scream" debuted on the Billboard Rock charts at #23, but is poised to vault into the top ten next week. The Kevin Churko co-write is from the upcoming album, Scream, to be released June 15.

Slash's Solo Album Off to a Great Start


It has been reported that Slash's solo album, Slash, has had strong pre-orders, as well as strong download sales, both in the UK and stateside. "Crucify the Dead," which was co-written by Kevin Churko with Ozzy Osbourne and Slash, features Ozzy on vocals. The album was released this week.

Kevin Churko Goes for Third Juno Award





Kevin Churko has been nominated by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) twice for Producer of the Year. One is for his work on "The Dream" by In This Moment and the other for "Look Where You're Walking" by Las Vegas' Modern Science. The Junos will be held Sunday April 18 in St John's, Newfoundland.

Churko's previous Junos were for his engineering work on Ozzy Osbourne's Black Rain and Simon Collins' U-Catastrophe.

Top Argentine Singer Endorses Austria


Nito Mestre, a very well-known singer in Argentina, from the band Sui Generis, gave Austria a ringing endorsement. In an article in one of Argentina's top newspapers, Pagina/12, Mestre listed Austria as one of the country's stand-out up and coming bands. "Bulletproof" to be Included in New Five Finger Death Punch Songbook

Kevin Churko's co-write of "Bulletproof" will be included in a Five Finger Death Punch songbook. No release date yet, but it should be coming soon. "Bulletproof" is on FFDP's current album, War Is The Answer.
